  • 2018-19

  • A craft awareness training programme was conducted among the artisans of North Eastern States. The objective of the training was mainly to spread awareness about GST, design and standardization, raw material sources and connection with buyers and sellers.

  • A vocational training was conducted on computer basics specially designed for women.

  • 2017-18

  • A skill upgradation workshop was organised for 3 days in the field of Handicraft and Handloom where 20 Artisans were selected for the workshop. In the workshop, the artisans interacted with designers and masters of crafts for improvement of their products with the latest design and technology as per market demand.

  • A skill upgradation workshop was organised for three days in the field of Handicraft and Handloom where 20 Artisans were selected for the workshop. In the workshop, the artisans interacted with designers and masters of craft for improvement of their products with the latest design and technology as per market demand.

  • 2015-16

  • A skill upgradation workshop was organised for three days in the field of Handicraft and Handloom where 20 Artisans were selected for the workshop. The artisans interacted with designers and master of craft for improvement of their products with the latest design and technology as per market demand.

  • 2012-13

  • A consumer awareness camp was held on 13th April 2012 at Lalmati under Kamrup district experts where a huge number of consumers & traders took part. A team of technical experts highlighted the consumer's right.

  • Organised a month long training program on Embroidery & Knitting for unemployed women & girls at Sonapur village under Kamrup District, Assam in June. Total no. of 100 young girls & women participated in the training Program.

  • 2011-12

  • A SHG Awareness & Management Camp was organised wherein 110 Artisans/SHG members participated to motivate young, unemployed generations for taking handicraft activities for self-reliance.

  • All India Handicraft Week was observed where 86 Artisans/women participated.

  • World AIDS Day was observed & 80 artisans/young adults were invited to discuss the awareness.

  • Organised a Crafts Training Programme where we conducted a crafts training programme where 60 artisans were present.

  • Organised a Product Innovation Training and 35 artisans attended the workshop.

  • Organised a Crafts Weaving Training which was attended by 40 artisans.

  • Organised a survey & study of ethnic crafts to motive and mobilise the artisans to take up their existing craft activities professionally and in a cooperative way.

  • Organised a Cane and Bamboo product diversification camp. 35 artisans attended this where handicraft products were mixed with iron in the making of various products such as chairs, tables.

  • Organised a modern artistic weaving training wherein 30 participants participated. Interexchange of weaving style was seen in the programme.

  • Organised a survey & study of traditional Assamese ornaments. This initiative was taken to motivate and mobilise the artisans to take up their Assamese ornament craft activities professionally and in a cooperative way.

  • 2010-11

  • Organised SHG Awareness Camp wherein 122 artisans/SHG members participated in the camp. This was done to motivate young & unemployed generation for taking up Handicraft activities for self-reliance through handicraft industry.

  • A Design Development Awareness Programme was organised where 35 artisans attended the workshop to make the artisans aware of the latest designs prevailing in the market.

  • On Worlds AIDS Day, 100 artisans/young adults were invited where various topics were discussed about the awareness of AIDs.

  • A craft awareness programme camp was organised on tribal textiles crafts which was attended by 40 artisans.

  • Modern artistic weaving training program was organised where 30 participants participated. Interexchange of weaving style was seen in the program.

  • Survey works and studies of languishing arts were conducted in different locations in Assam.

  • Handicraft Product Diversification Camp was organised which was attended by 35 artisans.

  • All India Handicraft Week was observed where 75 artisans / women participants attended a program where various issues related to the field of handicraft sector and difficulties faced by artisans were discussed.

  • A skill development programme was organised at Tipam, Dibrugarh.

  • Organised SHG formation and Awareness Programme on handicrafts at Tipam, Dibrugarh.

  • 2008-09

  • Organised Craft Bazar, at Rudra Singha Sports Complex, Dispur, Guwahati where 135 artisans participated & displayed their products.

  • Organised a seminar on Market linkages and growth opportunities in Handicraft sectors at KJP Synod Conference Hall, Shillong, Meghalaya.

  • 2007-08

  • Conducted an innovative training programme on pattern making of ladies garments for the duration of three months for 10 artisans at Tipam, Dibrugarh.

  • 2006-07

  • Organised a Seminar plus Workshop on Value Added and Exportable handicraft products of North East - Vision 2010 at ICAR Complex, Meghalaya under the auspices of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textile, Government of India.

  • 2002-03

  • Created Awareness programmes by screening films on Handicrafts and handlooms in Guwahati Railway Station through CCTV.
